What would you say is a hidden gem in your city that perfume lovers should absolutely visit? And which fragrance from your collection matches that place?

In Copenhagen, there are many hidden gems, some in plain sight, others more tucked away from the public eye. My all-time favourite spot is called Proviantpassagen. It is located in the centre of Copenhagen, a tranquil garden from the 17th century, with space to relax and enjoy the calmness of the city. It sits on Slotsholmen, and many people don’t see it since it is not very well known.

The scent for this place is clearly Aromatic Story: The fall of fluidic fauna SPECTRE 568 – 147. In the crème-like base, a rush of sensual notes provides calm as they suffuse the floral layers, emboldening the lightness of your essence.

What's your favourite spot in Copenhagen to relax or find inspiration? Which fragrance would you recommend wearing to this place?

For inspiration, it would be along the sea, around Ofelia Beach. A beach within the city, not more than a two-minute walk from the busy city centre. Here, the view of the Opera and the old town sets a beautiful setting.

The scent for this spot would be Aromatic Story: A sensual portrait of darkened spice SPECTRE 596 – 154, Tantalising the senses with contrasting aromatic perspectives. Darkened and arid earth notes challenge warming tones for a spiced and familial feel that brings a hue of intrigue to your persona.

Which hotspot would you recommend for someone looking to experience the city's local flavour? And which fragrance would be a perfect fit for this place?

For local flavour, my favourite spot is Værnedamsvej, nestled in Frederiksberg, also known as Copenhagen’s “Little Paris”. The street has amazing ambience, local flavours mixed in with different food scenes from French to Danish cuisine. For example, Le Gourmand, where you can not only dine but also purchase exquisite cheeses and charcuterie. They are also suppliers to several top restaurants in the city and even the Danish royal family.

The scent for this area would definitely be Aromatic Story: The shadows of bergamot SPECTRE 575 - 149.

Casting sensorial blue shades upon the resins and tonka in its base, vibrations of cardamom spice awaken the bergamot for an aura of warmth and discovery around you.

Which shop or market is worth visiting while you're in town?

In addition to restaurants, the old butcher's street Værnedamsvej also features some delightful delicatessens. Juul's Vin & Spiritus is a liquor store with a beautiful shop window where you can find the most unique wines and liqueurs. And be sure to discover Helges Ost. This shop has been around for more than 40 years and offers the finest cheeses and delicacies from the region and beyond.

Which fragrance from your collection would you recommend as an olfactory memory or a scented souvenir of your city?

When we developed the perfume collection with Bertrand Duchaufour, the one scent that reminded him most of Scandinavia and Danes was Aromatic Story: The privé of pheromonic pleasure SPECTRE 175 – 225. Raw in approach, it brings true individuality alive as modern oak and dry nutty aromatics engage with your body heat, allowing the ambered musk of woodland saps to envelop the skin and assimilate with your nature.
