What would you say is a hidden gem in your city that perfume lovers should absolutely visit? And which fragrance from your collection matches that place?

In the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, the Parc de Bagatelle unfolds as a lush oasis where thousands of roses vie for beauty. It is a place where time seems to stand still, perfect for daydreams and secret embraces, far from the hustle and bustle of Paris. The dew still clinging to the petals sparkles under the first rays of the sun, its fragrance is intoxicating, and its colours are vibrant.

The roses evoke tender memories and promises of eternity, while the whisper of the wind through the branches and the song of the birds create a sweet melody, the perfect backdrop for our fragrance Une rose au Paradise. R.B.

What's your favourite spot in Paris to relax or find inspiration? Which fragrance would you recommend wearing to this place?

Here I would differentiate between summer and winter. During summer, the best place to disconnect is at The Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, dedicated to primitive arts, stands as a modern sanctuary in the heart of Paris, with its organic forms blending harmoniously into the lush surrounding vegetation. This is where I choose to visit to find inspiration and rejuvenation.

An atmosphere of tranquillity and contemplation pervades the museum; the works, originating from the four corners of the world, tell ancient and rich stories, evoking distant cultures and traditions. The gentle dimness of the exhibition halls creates an ambience conducive to reflection, where each object seems to whisper secrets of the past, revealing raw and authentic creativity.

To accompany this moment, I would wear the fragrance Nous sommes amants. M.D., a woody scent characterised by a heart of Palo Santo, the sacred wood from Central America so prevalent in this museum.

Which hotspot would you recommend for someone looking to experience the city's local flavour? And which fragrance would be a perfect fit for this hotspot?

For someone looking to experience the city's local flavour, visit the Lapérouse restaurant. Established in 1766 in an 18th-century private mansion on the banks of the Seine, Lapérouse has cultivated a notorious reputation as a "house of pleasure." In the 19th century, it was frequented by the crème de la crème of Parisian society. The establishment owes its fame to the small, intimate, private lounges originally frequented discreetly by courtesans and their wealthy patrons. The current restaurant has preserved the folkloric ritual of service with a bell, maintaining modesty and privacy.

The ideal fragrance for this place is Dandy or Not. G.A. This perfume reflects the duality between nonchalance and elegance, perfect for a rebellious and confident individual. Like this establishment, Dandy or Not. G.A. is both unexpected and recognisable.

Which shop or market is worth visiting while you're in town?

I cordially invite you to visit our D’ORSAY boutique, nestled on Rue du Bac in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a timeless haven devoted to perfumes and home fragrances. Situated in the heart of a neighbourhood renowned for its literary legacy, our boutique pays homage to Marguerite Blessington, muse of Alfred d’Orsay, inadvertently inspiring the creation of the first couple's perfume by this passionate fragrance aesthete.

Within our space, you'll have the opportunity to explore the entire range of D’ORSAY perfumes, alongside our selection of candles, diffusers, and home fragrances. Discover our collection of historic bottles, a carefully curated array of unique items, and be among the first to experience our latest releases.

To ensure an optimal olfactory journey, I recommend refraining from wearing perfumes during your visit. Our team of enthusiasts will be delighted to assist each visitor in crafting their personalised olfactory profile, aiming to offer the perfect perfumed combination tailored to individual preferences.

Extend your visit to Rue du Bac, which will give you a true taste of Paris: stop by Louis Fouquet to savour high-quality chocolates, visit Aoyama Flowers Market, a Japanese florist that, while resonating with our boutique in Japan, has all the charm of a French florist. Don't miss the Comptoir des Thés, where you will find exceptional teas, and much more...
