Parfum:
Story of Iris
Thank you for participating in the Parfum: Story of Iris masterclass. Together with our Skins Experts, you have dived into the history of perfume and learned more about a unique ingredient: iris. You learned about the history, origin and characteristics of this ingredient. With ten extraordinary perfumes, you experienced different scents on the blotter and skin.
Fragrances are divided into scent families. The scent wheel below shows which families there are and how they are composed. Iris is a widely used and loved ingredient in perfume, often found within the floral fragrance family. Iris - also known as orris - is a widely used and loved ingredient in perfume. This versatile fragrance note can be described as powdery, floral and woody in terms of fragrance experience.
To fully experience the versatility of iris, we introduced you to ten perfumes during the masterclass. We distinguish between creations in which the iris is clearly evident and scents in which the iris fragrance is more deeply integrated. In the following perfumes, iris as an ingredient plays the leading role.
1. Diptyque | Fleur de Peau
2. Ex Nihilo | Iris Porcelana
3. Frederic Malle | Lipstick Rose
4. Maison Crivelli | Iris Malikhan

Next, we have discovered the perfumes in which the iris is more deeply rooted. Now that you have experienced this ingredient differently, which one do you prefer? When the element is prominent, or when it is part of a larger whole? In the following perfumes, the latter is the case.
6. Byredo | De Los Santos
7. Creed | Fleurissimo
8. JHAG | Liquid Illusion
9. 27 87 | Hashtag
10. Fueguia | Valle de La Luna
