Mmoire as an ode to the French word 'memoire'

The name Mmoire was inspired by the French wood moiré; a silk technique from the 1800s. The technique is known for its organic lines and crinkled texture. Mmoire's Sophie visited a Russian court exhibition at Amsterdam's Hermitage museum. Here she was inspired by this particular fabric treatment. Indeed, it reminded her of the movements that occur during the perfume fusion process. Moiré also means movement. A perfume is never static, but changes with skin contact. Finally, Mmoire is also an ode to the French word 'memoire', and the recounting of one's personal experience.
