Why use blush?
A blush creates a beautiful and healthy glow on the cheeks and/or cheekbones. This creates a fresh look, as if you have just taken a good walk along the beach or in the woods. Today, many of our blushes have nourishing ingredients, giving the skin a silky finish. Because there are so many different brands, textures and colours of blush, in this blog we will tell you how to make your choice.A nice blush to match your complexion
Choosing a suitable blush starts with the season you are in. In summer you tend to be more bronzed, and a warm blush with, for example, a coral or peachy undertone will suffice. You can also opt for a bright, fuchsia colour to make a statement. In autumn, you might go for more muted colours or a nice plum or burgundy shade. Take a good look at the undertone of your skin: do you have a cool tone and silver looks good on you, or are you a warm type who prefers gold? This information will also help you select a good blush. When choosing a blush, take a look at your skin type. If you have a more oily skin, it may be nicer to select a blush in powder form. This type of blush runs out less quickly. Dry or normal skin is very nice with a cream blush, which often comes in stick form. You can apply these very nicely by dabbing with your fingertips for a natural effect, but also fine with the right blush brush.
How do I use a blush?
You can apply blush in different ways. It is best to look at your face shape and bone structure before applying your make-up. If you have a rounder face or more volume in the cheeks, it is better to apply the blush along the sides near the cheekbones. You can then blend it out slightly under the eyes.If you want a bit more volume, apply the blush to the bulge of the cheeks. You can do this by smiling in the mirror. Take a blush brush and apply the residue along the hairline and subtly on the bridge of the nose for a radiant look.
