How often should you use a mask on your face?

The correct use of a face mask depends on your skin type and the type of mask you use. Hydrating and intensive care masks, such as Susanne Kaufmann's Glow Mask, can be applied once to three times a week to keep skin supple and radiant. Cleansing or exfoliating masks work best when applied weekly, as they remove impurities and stimulate cell renewal. Overuse of an exfoliating or clay mask can dry out or irritate the skin, so it is important to listen to your skin's reaction. For best results, always apply a mask to cleansed skin and leave it on for the recommended time.

How often should you use an eye mask?

The skin around the eyes is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of the face, making gentle, targeted care essential. Eye masks with hydrating and firming properties, such as Rudolph Care's Firming Eye Mask or Kat Burki's KB5 Eye Recovery Masks, can safely be used two to three times a week. With an intensive skincare routine, some eye masks can even be applied daily, especially if they aim to hydrate and reduce fatigue. Make sure to apply and remove the mask gently so as not to stress delicate skin.

How often can you use a clay mask?

Clay masks are ideal for deep cleansing the skin and reducing excess sebum. They contain absorbent minerals that mattify the skin and refine pores. Because clay masks are powerful, once or twice a week is sufficient. Aesop's Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque offers effective cleansing without unbalancing the skin. Do you have sensitive or dry skin? Then it's best to apply the mask locally to problem areas rather than all over the face. Remember to always apply a moisturising cream or serum after a clay mask to restore the skin barrier.
