How to
When you light the candle for the first time, let it burn for 2 to 3 hours, until all the wax on the surface has melted. This will prevent the wax from hollowing out or forming a hole around the wick later on.
Never leave a burning candle unattended and never let it burn for more than four hours at a time. Do not move the candle whilst it is burning or whilst the wax is still liquid.
Make sure you centre the wick in the wax after each use to ensure the wax burns evenly. This also prevents the glass from overheating. The wick and the flame must not touch the glass.
Finally, trim the wick regularly with the wick trimmer (ideal length 3–5 mm) to prevent the candle from smoking and the wick from falling into the wax, which would render the candle unusable.
Never place a burning candle in a draught or in direct contact with a valuable surface. The candle must be placed on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
To extinguish the candle, it is recommended that you use a lid to prevent smoke and any splashes of liquid wax. A candle is burnt out and must not be relit if only 5 mm of wax remains or if the metal wick becomes visible.
Keep the candle out of the reach of children and pets.

Zoals alle kaarsen van Diptyque ruikt deze geweldig. Zelfs zonder de kaars te branden laat het je kamer lekker ruiken. De kaars blijft ook mooi als je hem brand en gaat redelijk lang mee.
