What does Eau de Cologne mean?

An Eau de Cologne is different from an Extrait de Parfum or an Eau de Toilette. A cologne perfume has a perfume concentration with 2% to 5% pure perfume oil. This is a low percentage compared to, say, an Eau de Parfum with a percentage of 10% to 20%. This low concentration often creates a subtle, lightly present fragrance.
