Antonia's Flowers
In 1984, Antonia's Flowers revolutionised the niche perfumery sector. The brand was one of the first to utilise ‘headspace technology’, an innovative method that allowed the scent of fresh flowers to be faithfully reproduced. Founder Antonia Bellanca wanted to create a perfume that truly smelled of freesia, her favourite flower – something that seemed impossible at the time. Thanks to a chance encounter with perfumer Bernard Chant of IFF, who had just commissioned a headspace analysis of freesia, her dream became a reality.
Antonia's Flowers grew into a cult brand, with iconic launches such as Floret, Tiempe Passate and Rokka. After a hiatus, the brand is set to return in 2025 with a relaunch of Tiempe Passate. Skins is looking forward to this special perfume becoming available to our customers again soon. We are proud of Antonia’s determination to never give up – despite many years and numerous trials – until the fragrance could once again be experienced just as it was before the changes to the ingredients legislation. We were able to help evaluate the trials and can confirm that the fragrance is just as special as the original. We expect the first shipment towards the autumn. Skins is honoured to be among the first three retailers worldwide – alongside two iconic department stores in London and New York – to relaunch Tiempe Passate.
