Afgelopen week ontving ik de Boutique Edition en wat een ervaring! Zodra ik de verpakking opende, herkende ik gelijk de iconische geur van Santa Maria Novella. Eerlijk gezegd was ik deze geur een beetje uit het oog verloren door het enorme aanbod bij Skins, maar het bracht zoveel herinneringen terug dat ik gelijk nóg een bestelling heb geplaatst, waaronder deze parfum. Deze geur is simpelweg breathtaking!! Het verhaal achter deze eeuwenoude apotheek is ook fantastisch.
Melograno Eau de Cologne by Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella is a sweet bouquet of floral and ambery notes. It is a warm interpretation of the symbolic meaning of the pomegranate tree and its fruit. From Persia, this tree spread throughout the Mediterranean. The pomegranate fruit appears in the Song of Songs, in the Odyssey and in ancient Folklore as a symbol of fertility and abundance. In Melograno, the sweet notes of the fruit are accentuated with spices and roses, while the earthy base with musk and patchouli represents the tree in its entirety.
