Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella's Carta d'Armenia are paper strips perfumed with an infusion of resins and oriental spices. The strips burn without a flame and their vapour purifies the air and mystically perfumes interiors. They can also be used to perfume clothes by placing the scented strips unlit in drawers or cupboards.

How to
Fold a strip into an accordion shape so it can stand without support. Place the strip on a fireproof surface, such as a ceramic dish or metal tray. Light the strip at one end with a lighter or match. Gently blow out the flame so that the strip glows and emits a smoky, perfumed vapour. Let the strip burn out on its own.
Note: Despite the strips burning without a flame, there is still a risk of fire. Never leave the burning strip unattended and at all times out of the reach of children and pets.
