The head is turned slightly to the right, the shoulders are covered with a pleated fabric for a natural effect, and she wears a crown decorated with a fleur-de-lis and a row of pearls. One of the most famous and controversial women in French history, Marie-Antoinette was the subject of countless artistic representations.
