Applying eye shadow make up

Before you start applying eye shadow, it is important to prepare your eyelids properly. Start by applying an eye primer to ensure your eyeshadow stays on longer and doesn't pull into fine lines. After that, you can apply a little loose powder to absorb excess oil on the eyelids. The next step is to apply a base colour all over the eyelid. For this, choose a neutral colour that matches your skin tone, such as beige or taupe. Apply the base colour with an eye shadow brush and make sure the colour is evenly distributed. You can of course leave it at one even colour, but you can also add some dimension with an accent colour. Choose a slightly darker colour than the base colour and apply it to the outer corners of the eye for a nice cat-eye effect. Go for a highlighter on the brow bone and in the inner corners of the eyes for a fairytale look.
