This Diptyque candle requires a little care. Place it on a flat, heat-resistant surface and protect wood or marble with a holder or dish. Keep away from flammable materials and out of the reach of children and pets. Light with a match and, on the first burn, allow an even pool of wax to form (approximately 2 hours); the wick may smoke slightly for a moment. Thereafter, burn for a maximum of 2 hours at a time, never leave unattended, do not move whilst in use or whilst the wax is still warm, avoid draughts and keep a distance of 10 cm between candles. Extinguish with a candle snuffer, centre the wick and trim it to 3–5 mm before relighting. Stop when there is 5 mm of wax remaining or the metal base is visible. Air the room, allow the wax to cool completely and store in a dry place at 15–25 °C, away from direct sunlight.
