Lumen_esce Eau de Parfum by Nomenclature. Capturing the scent of violets in the lab was one of the first triumphs in the world of fragrance chemistry. Since then, ionones have been pillars in perfumery. Violettyne® is the 21st-century answer to the wistful, powdery fragrance: an unnaturally light violet nuance with a metallic effect, and edges in fluorescent green.
Patented in 2000 by Firmenich, this special molecule turns fragrance into light with lumen_esce. It is the colour of mystery and magic. Both associated with the most exalted states, and that it is the highest frequency of visible light. In lumen_esce, Frank Voelkl plays on both meanings of the word 'Violet' and explores the full spectrum of the scented flower. By boosting the freshness of violet leaves, the voltage of the shimmering Violettyne® shoots up, from the tips to the roots.
