Bij Eau de Parfum, Extrait de Parfum en parfum wordt de geur alleen op de huid gedragen, omdat oliën huid nodig hebben om geur vast te houden. Cologne en Eau de Toilette kunnen op kleding geneveld worden.
Let op: als het parfum een sterke kleurconcentratie heeft, nevel deze dan niet op lichte kleding.
