About the fragrance Musky by Layer+

Musky Eau de Parfum Enhancer by Layer+ is like an intimate embrace. We have brought the fragrance to this day and age. It's pure, slightly more modern than you're used to, but still deep. Musky is subtle. It leaves room for you, for your natural scent.

Layer+ is a coming together of expertise. A collaboration between Skins and the best laboratories in the world, uniting the artistic and the scientific. Musky was developed by Symrise, where the captive Ecomusk® is at the heart of this composition.

Layering with Musky: tips from Perfume Educator Daan

"Musky has a soothing effect," explains Perfume Educator Daan. "It takes the sharpness out of a fragrance and makes everything blend more with the skin."

The effect is immediate. Edges become rounder. Fragrance notes flow into each other. What used to remain at a distance comes closer.

At the same time, Musky remains subtly present. Light enough to wear solo. Soft enough to accompany other perfumes without overpowering them.

It is precisely this balance that makes it a fine base for layering. Daan uses Musky to soften contrast, make a fragrance more comfortable or give a composition more tranquillity. These are the perfumes he thinks you combine Musky beautifully with:

Through Musky, the overall effect is made a little more pronounced. "The fragrance notes come out better and feel more balanced," says Daan.
