Monsieur, a neo-classical perfume, far removed from ephemeral novelties. For this first perfume under his name, perfumer Bruno Jovanovic selected a symbol from classic perfumery: patchouli. The perfumer strove to keep this material as pure as possible, to the extreme, to make it the main link in the chain of evaporation: The mandarin notes in the opening bring a certain freshness. These top notes mingle with the enigmatic and syrupy character of rum-absolue, linked to the sea of patchouli at the heart of the perfume. A substantial amount of cedar and frankincense give a sensual and mystical vibe, while a touch of modern amber brings a dark edge. Sparkles of vanilla and musk connect all the notes and soften the edginess, turning this brut into a sensual, magnetising and somewhat civilised animal. No one has yet dared to use patchouli in this pure form since the 1970s.
